Rooted In 2024

Happy New Year’s, Saints! We’ve celebrated the holidays, relaxed and enjoyed the festivities of this season. Whatever may have came your way in 2023, you have been brought to this very moment. Bravo! You made it. You are here. Life has thrown so many curveballs but God has kept you. You have achieved goals that have pushed you forward in your personal or professional life. You did that! If no one else is excited for you, we are! Know that here at The Zephaniah Movement we see you and we’re so thankful that God has kept you on your journey.

At the top of 2024 we are all reaming with excitement and ready to experience this brand new year. Many of us have made resolutions and set goals that we want to accomplish for the year. Now, we have to ask: On the list of goals to accomplish this year, where does developing and enhancing your relationship with God lie? We fill our goal list with professional and personal development but have we added spiritual development as well? Our hope for you in this new year is the same as Paul’s in Ephesians 3:17, “that Christ dwells in your hearts by faith and that you be rooted and grounded in love.”

While it is still fresh on our minds and while you are reading, let us prioritize our relationship with Christ while we still can because right now is the perfect time. On this New Year’s Day, meditate and spend some time your Father. He is looking for you. And to put the enemy’s tricks on notice, you don’t have to feel overwhelmed by the thought of coming to God. Satan can try to make it tough but now is the time to get to God. It’s just as simple as humbly coming to Him and saying, “Heavenly Father, I need your help.”

Find a church home that can help you learn and grow in God. Our walk in God is an individual walk but having support is helpful. Think about all that has happened to you this past year. Would it have been easier if you had a support system to pray over you and encourage you during these difficult times? We would love to have you at the our church home not just to count you in the numbers but to allow you to experience a Holy Spirit filled church. We want every goal you have for 2024 to be experienced with the love of Christ. So just like the loving Heavenly Father, we would love to welcome you back home.

The Zephaniah Movement is a church that puts God’s will for the movement as a priority. What good would it do us if we were to build according to our own will? We want to be pleasing in God’s sight. Because of our obedience to God’s will over our lives, we have accomplished so many great things this past year. We had our first tent revival (read about it here) and it opened us up to being blessed by God even more. We’ve watched as so many of our brothers and sisters have been freed from the bondage of sin. Our unsaved loved ones have come in to be saved. Those who were in need of it came in to receive healing, whether spiritual or physical. We’ve watched our cohorts in Africa be able to also expand and grow themselves in many ways, (read about it here.) We’ve also just had a really good time with each other during this year and have been able to experience Godly love from our fellow members in Christ (check out a clip.)

For this brand new year, we invite you home. If you’re unable to join us physically, we invite you to continue to get a word from us on Facebook and YouTube. Above all, in this new year, we pray that your walk with God gets stronger.

Dear reader, we would like to leave you with a prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for our family that is reading this message. We thank You, Lord for how You’ve kept us in this past year and have allowed us to walk in this new one. We’ve been grateful for how You have shown us Your love, grace and mercy. We sit in awe of just how good You truly are to us. If we had ten thousand tongues we could’t praise You enough. We are so honored to be Your children. Now Lord, we ask that You bless the reader in the new year. We ask that this be the year that they stick and stay to You. We ask that You tug on their hearts and open their spirits to Your goodness. Allow them to experience You like never before, Father. Bless them as they walk this journey. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen
